SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

These SMS Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the text messaging program operated by Summit Salon Academy Kansas City (Summit Salon Academy Inc., “SSAKC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 815 W 23rd Street South, Independence, MO 64055. By opting in to receive text messages from SSAKC, you agree to these Terms. Please also review our Privacy Policy at summitsalonacademykc.com/privacy-policy/.

2. Program Description

SSAKC uses this SMS program to communicate with prospective and currently enrolled students about:

• Responses to enrollment inquiries submitted via summitsalonacademykc.com.
• Admissions follow-up, interview scheduling, and campus tour confirmations.
• Program information for Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Technology, Barber Crossover, and Instructor Training programs.
• Academic reminders, class scheduling updates, and attendance notifications for enrolled students.
• General student services communications.

This program does not send recurring promotional or marketing campaigns unrelated to enrollment or academics.

3. How to Opt In

You may opt in to the SSAKC SMS program by:

• Checking the SMS consent checkbox when submitting an enrollment or contact form on summitsalonacademykc.com (the checkbox is required and unchecked by default); or
• Providing your mobile number directly to SSAKC admissions or administrative staff and confirming consent verbally or in writing.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment or of any purchase or service.

4. Message Frequency & Cost

Message frequency may vary depending on your enrollment status and the nature of your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates charged by your mobile provider apply to all SMS messages. SSAKC is not responsible for any charges from your wireless carrier.

5. How to Opt Out & Get Help

Opting Out (STOP)

Reply STOP to any message at any time to cancel. You will receive a one-time confirmation and will receive no further messages unless you opt in again.

You may also opt out by contacting SSAKC directly by phone, email, or in person and requesting removal from the SMS program.

6. Supported Carriers

Our SMS program operates on major U.S. wireless carrier networks including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Privacy & Data Sharing

SSAKC does not sell, share, or disclose your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data is used solely to facilitate enrollment and student communications between you and SSAKC. SMS delivery is handled by Twilio under confidentiality obligations.

8. Disclaimers

• SSAKC and its SMS service providers are not liable for delays or failures in message delivery, which are subject to your mobile network.
• SMS services are provided on an “as-is” basis.
• SSAKC reserves the right to modify or discontinue the SMS program at any time, with or without notice.
• These Terms may be updated periodically. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision.
