Pursue Your Passion for Skin Care at Our Esthetician School

If you desire a career in esthetics, you have come to the right place! Summit Salon Academy Kansas City provides students with an advanced, comprehensive esthetics course consisting of 1,125 hours. This is an advanced course in skin care and also includes training in full body care, lash lifts, extensions, and tint as well as natural nails. Our proprietary curriculum is one of the few to combine business knowledge with advanced technical training in skin, lash, nail and body care, fueled by our International CIDESCO Accreditation. Our curriculum is set forth by this international organization for Estheticians, which is recognized worldwide. Students at SSAKC have the unique opportunity to sit for the international CIDESCO exam and earn a prestigious international diploma.

As part of our program, students receive instruction for personal development, professional development, business basics, and something we call “Over the Top Training,” which is exclusive to Summit Salon Academies. We also offer Beauty as a Business (BAAB) as a course, which teaches social media marketing, an important concept for any professional esthetician. Our students learn hands-on buy performing spa services on guests, under the direct supervision of our licensed professional educators. Our students also will learn by using our professional tools and products, such as Dermalogica. This program exceeds Missouri State requirements, while preparing students to sit for the state exam.

Frequently Asked Questions about Our Esthetician Training Program

How long does the esthetics program take to complete?

The esthetics program is 1,125 hours, which can be completed in as few as 33 weeks. We only offer this program to full-time students. There are several start dates throughout the year, which means students can begin as soon as they are ready!

How much does your eshtetics program cost?

Tuition: $15,495 + $3,627 Kit = $19,122 Total Tuition

What makes your esthetics program different from similar programs?

At Summit Salon Academy in Kansas City, we are very proud to offer our esthetics students the opportunity to earn the international CIDESCO diploma. This requires sitting for an extra 75 hours for the CIDESCO Prep Course, and then taking and passing the CIDESCO exam. CIDESCO diplomas are recognized worldwide, which means students who have earned this diploma can go on to work as an esthetician in other countries!

Besides the unique opportunity to earn the CIDESCO diploma, our esthetician program is also partnered with Dermalogica. Students can use Dermalogica products as part of their training, giving them hands-on experience that is very similar to the experience of working in a professional spa environment.

What kind of a career might a student get after graduating from the esthetics program?

We train our students to develop their own personal skills in the area of skin care as well as professional skills, giving them an edge when it comes to entering the professional beauty industry after completing our course. Some of the careers students may be ready for include facialist, masseuse, make-up artist, spa owner, spa products representative, or spa manager. If they take and pass the CIDESCO exam, they will be certified to work internationally.

Do students work with real clients at Summit Salon Academy Kansas City?

Absolutely. Hands-on experience in the Student Spa area is a key aspect of our training. Guests from the community can book an appointment to receive a number of different spa treatments, which students perform under the direct supervision of our professional instructors.

How can I afford your tuition?

When you are looking for an esthetician school, the best way to get a feel for the school is by experiencing it in person. Ready to enroll? Here are the key requirements:

Have a personal interview with a school official.
Pass an entrance exam.
Complete an enrollment form supplied through the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners.
Provide proof of age (birth certificate, driver’s license, or US passport).
Be at least 17 years old before applying for the MO State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners exam.
Provide a valid high school diploma, GED certificate, or a high school transcript showing 12th-grade completion.
Submit two or more character references.
Pay a $25 non-refundable application fee.
Sign an Enrollment Agreement with Summit Salon Academy Kansas City.
Complete the admissions personality quiz.
